About Mountain Trail resort
Fifty kilometres from Nainital perched on Mukteshwar ridge, surrounded by apple and peach orchards. The resort is open all year round. In winter, one can enjoy the cosy log fire in the restaurant, while outside the snow is piled deep. In spring, the gardens are full of apple blossoms, and the air is scented with thyme and sage. During the monsoons in July and August, the hills are shrouded in clouds, lush and saturated by the cleansing rain. And from July to September, the area lives up to its name as 'the fruit basket of Kumaon', with apples, apricots, plums and pears in abundance. Autumn is glorious, with crisp frosty nights and golden days - Mountain Trail is truly a place for all seasons. After your excursions, you can quench your thirst with natural spring-water, or a glass of buransh, a local speciality squash made from rhododendron flowers famous for its healing properties.

Mountain Trail is the perfect place to commence or conclude your stay. The resort consists of ten double rooms, of two four bedded units with ten suite bathrooms, hot and cold running water and verandas. The resort is surrounded by flower gardens and apple orchards, from where, on a clear day, you can enjoy stunning views of the snowy Himalayan peaks in the distance.

Activities
Yoga & Meditation : The resort specialises in yoga and meditation holidays. The clubhouse makes the perfect practice hall for groups, and the peaceful surroundings could scarcely be more conducive for meditation and contemplation. Groups who come with their own teachers are welcome, and experienced yoga and meditation teachers can also be arranged for groups who so wish. Special dietary needs are well provided for by our team of catering staff vegetarian, vegan or non-vegetarian - with advance notice.
